Glendale Plant Healthcare Company

Glendale tree and plant service company

Serving Glendale since 1978.

Ross Tree Company, a long-standing name in Glendale tree care since 1978, has undergone a significant evolution, transitioning from a general tree service business to a specialized plant healthcare company. Our shift represents a fundamental change in philosophy to proactive health and prevention rather than reactive tree services like pruning and removal. We are a licensed tree company with a strong relationship with the Glendale Forester Office, with a reputation for handling complex tree jobs, street closure permitting, and pioneering systemic injections to control tree insects. We strongly embrace standards-based pruning practices, which save our customers money in the long term. Why not call a licensed, insured, trusted tree and plant healthcare company with an A+ BBB rating? For convenience, we accept all major credit cards. Glendale Tree Programs

Glendale has approximately 17 acres of parks and streetscapes in the City. Trees are a significant part of Glendale’s urban environment, providing beauty, shade, and ambiance. Click here for more information about  Glendale’s park and tree programs.

Emerald Ash Borer

Unfortunately, the dreaded Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) arrived in Denver in 2025, so it is just a matter of time before the insect is found in Glendale. The time to act is now because Ash has no immunity to the EAB. Glendale’s forester expects all property owners to manage and treat their Ash yard trees. Check out the Ross Tree EAB Handbook to understand your treatment options.

Tri-Level Fertilization Program

Ross Tree’s started its popular Tri-Level Fertilization Program in 2024. We use proprietary feeding formulations to help trees flourish in Denver’s arid climate and poor soils. The program has three feedings per year rather than two.

Surprising Rise in Tree Aphids in Denver

No matter the tree, a tree aphid will likely munch on it. Most do not injure plants, but some aphids are considered tree pests. Tree aphids in Denver had a good year in 2024. These soft-bodied insects were found in abundant numbers and were active until the first hard frost.

Honeylocust Tree Care

The first steps that Ross Tree takes to care for Honeylocust trees are pruning and watering. We prune mature trees to remove dead wood and cut the branches back to their strongest point to promote healthy growth. Pruning helps the trees withstand Denver’s heavy snow storms. Honeylocusts should be watered throughout the year with water applied around the tree’s drip line.
